Based on the huge volume of feedback we´ve had over more than two years, we finally decided to compile a short 5-page
guide to Manaus for our guests.... and now, a year later, we are publishing Visit Manaus, a 100-page,
full-colour, A5 guidebook providing details of what to see, where to go, where to stay, how to get around, and with tips and maps
to use when planning your trip and while you are here.
Okay, so we may have exceeded our 5 page goal a little(!), but the guide is still the perfect size to carry
with you while you are here.
|
And we think you will probably want to have it with you, as
it has a useful map of the city centre on the inside back
page, and details of just about anywhere you´ll want to
visit. It´s also useful for planning your trip in advance,
with researched lists (based on guest feedback) of
accommodation both in the city and in the jungle - and it
even tells you how to get around. But of course for those
who want an ultra-slim guide and those who like things in
electronic form, we´ve added an e-version of the original
guide, as well as a shortened "Visit Manaus 24hr e-Guide",
and even some leisure maps of the surrounding rivers.
And now we´ve developed a sister website - visitmanaus.com - where you can find further information, use the
visitmanaus travel forum and order the guide(s) online.
Those of you who have already researched Manaus and the Amazon will know that Visit Manaus is the first and - so far - only
dedicated, independent, English-language guide to the region, and although there are plans to sell the guide here in Manaus, the publications have
only just been released (official date is June 2010), so for the moment the only place you will find these unique publications is direct from us.
So please come on over to visitmanaus.com
and see what you think!
