Maguire's is situated between Eduardo Gomes International Airport and the Tarumã to the west of Manaus, with easy access to the tourist area of the Ponta Negra beach and facilities. We can get you to and from the airport (5 minutes), Ponta Negra (5 minutes) and the City (20 - 30 minutes) (or give you the information you need to do it yourself, if you prefer). Built in 2004 in a simple and fairly quiet residential area just off the Estrada do Turismo which links the Ponta Negra with the airport, the house is modern in style and very comfortable, in its own pleasant grounds. A swimming pool was added in 2006,  and we have just completed our chapeu de palha, which overlooks the bordering forest and is perfect for relaxing with a drink.

Being next to forest, the grounds and house are relatively cool by Manaus standards, and although the area is normally quite quiet, the Estrada do Turismo, with its excellent restaurants and nightlife is just a 10 minute walk away (1km), while the Tarumã River is a 5 minute car ride.

In addition to the pool and chapeu de palha, the facilities include air conditioning, en-suite shower and toilet, TV, tea- and coffee-making facilties and a fridge/bar.  We'll also take you out in the Shamrock on the Tarumã. Anything else can normally be begged or borrowed (but preferably not stolen).

Although we can usually cater for those with specific tastes/requirements, our standard breakfast is based on local produce and custom (fresh fruit selection, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, fresh juice, tea or coffee).

We are close enough to the airport to pick you up if you tell us when you are arriving (but not so close that you'll be sharing your bed with a 747), and we can usually help you get around Manaus too, if you wish.
